Muhammad’s legacy is being shared with future generations through fun and educational programs!
Plus on any given weekend people are coming from all around Pennsylvania, the United States and the world to see this Historic Landmark located in Schuylkill County, PA! Here’s a recent sampling… New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Indiana, Michigan, Florida and Kentucky along with other states. From around the world, we’ve had visitors from England, Ireland, Sudan, Panama, Netherlands and Lebanon.
As we move into the off-season, from November through April, the camp will be open by appointment only. Appointments can be made during the week and on weekends.
Thrilla in Manila 50th Anniversary Tribute
Khaliah Ali, daughter of the three- time world champion, and Peter Lyde, son-in-law of Smokin’ Joe Frazier headlined a Fighter’s Heaven Tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the legendary Thrilla in Manila. Also in attendance was Jacqui Frazier-Lyde, daughter of Joe Frazier. They were joined by former two-time heavyweight champion Tim Witherspoon, former Pennsylvania state boxing commissioner George Bochetto, British artist Mark Dickens and Fighter’s Heaven owner Mike Madden. Khaliah and Peter provided inside looks of their famous fathers, discussed the rivalry, talked about the ebbs and flows in the relationship and the eternal bond that exists between the two families. Tim Witherpoon shared insights on sparring with Ali at Fighter’s Heaven and training in Frazier’s gym in Philadelphia. George Bochetto, who spearheaded the restoration of Ali’s childhood home in Louisville, screened a short documentary; ‘Cassius Ali’ that was produced by his son Evan. Mark Dickens discussed his special project ‘Fighter’s Heaven in Art’ that he is producing in cooperation with Khaliah and photographer Jeff Julian. He also unveiled a series of original multi-media prints commemorating the anniversary of the Thrilla.
Eisenhower Science and Technology Academy
Eighth graders from the Eisenhower Science and Technology Academy in Norristown, PA spent a day at Fighter’s Heaven. The trip was organized by Nicole Ross, president of Hands Across Philadelphia. When the students arrived, they were greeted by Philadelphia’s own “Terrible” Tim Witherspoon, a two-time world heavyweight champion and former sparring partner of Muhammad Ali at Deer Lake. He wasn’t there to talk about glory or belts. His focus was something much closer to his heart — bullying.
The day’s program followed a special curriculum designed for Hands Across Philadelphia, emphasizing positive affirmations, mentorship, resilience, and selfesteem, both inside and outside the classroom. It blended history and humanity — showing students that greatness begins with mindset. Social Studies teacher Thaddaeus Peay, whose eighth-grade theme this year is “Muhammad Ali: A Champion Fighter for All”, watched proudly as his students made connections between Ali’s life and their own.“They’re learning how Ali’s courage extended beyond boxing,” Peay explained. “He fought for justice, for faith, for people who didn’t have a voice. That’s the kind of strength I want my students to understand.”
Lehigh University Mens Wrestling
Lehigh University Mens Wrestling held a team getaway at Fighter’s Heaven. The visit featured a guided tour, where the wrestlers learned about Ali’s remarkable life and his time spent at the camp. The team also enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Carmelo’s Roman Delight. The evening ended with team-building activities designed to strengthen unity and focus for the upcoming season.
Teen NiceSpace Cohort Youth Program
The Nicetown CDC / Teen NiceSpace Cohort youth program out of Philadelphia enjoyed a memorable field trip to Fighter’s Heaven. The youth program aims to prevent violence and promote positive activities for these inner city youths. Fighter’s Heaven is proud to help promote these worthwhile programs. It was a great day for everyone involved!

Chris Algieri Visits Fighter’s Heaven
Former professional boxer and kickboxer Chris Algieri recently visited Fighter’s Heaven. In boxing Chris held the WBO junior welterweight title in 2014 and challenged for the WBO welterweight title later that year; in kickboxing he was an undefeated ISKA World welterweight and WKA World super welterweight champion. He currently works as a certified nutritionist and a boxing commentator and analyst.
This is what he had to say about his visit: “Stepping onto those grounds, you feel the energy immediately. The rustic cabins, the gym, the ring – everything breathes Ali’s spirit. You can almost hear the jump ropes snapping, the heavy bags echoing, and Ali’s famous voice floating through the mountains.”
“This was more than a camp – it was Ali’s sanctuary. A place where he sharpened his craft, welcomed friends, entertained guests, and built the mindset that made him “The Greatest.”
“For a fighter, standing in that ring is like standing in a cathedral. You’re reminded that boxing isn’t just about punches – it’s about resilience, belief, and leaving a legacy bigger than yourself. Infinite Inspiration. The GOAT lives forever!”

Ali Center Humanitarian Awards & 20th Anniversary
Fighter’s Heaven spent a great weekend in Louisville, Kentucky in early November for the 2025 Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards and celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Muhammad Ali Center. The Muhammad Ali Center is one of the organizations that we help support with our annual donations.
Our trip included a visit to Muhammad’s gravesite to pay our respects on behalf of Fighter’s Heaven. At the Ali Center we met with Bess Goldy, Director of Exhibits and Collections, toured the Center, and also met with some of the other incredible staff there, including Muhammad’s wife Lonnie Ali.
The Humanitarian Awards event was fantastic! The stories of the humanitarian work being done by the awardees, especially by young adults under 30 years of age, were very inspiring.
We are honored that the Ali Center has stated, “Fighter’s Heaven has been an important ally of the Ali Center, mirroring its commitment to honoring Muhammad’s life, preserving his legacy, and inspiring future generations.”
